Paris Cocktail Adventures

Of course, people come to Paris for the food…wine…champagne. That was part of the appeal for me as well! Most notably the cheese, as France honestly has some of the best cheese in the world. I ate way too much cheese…like ungodly amounts…no cheese left behind! Every restaurant, cafe, hotel breakfast and brasserie seemed to have some sort of cheese offering. If you like cheese, Paris will definitely not disappoint!

Off of that tangent and on to the actual point of this post… Cocktails! Paris is a large, metropolitan city of diversity. And that is reflected in their cocktail scene. Paris in’t just about sipping a Bordeaux and Champagne over dinner. Its also about some of the best cocktail bars in the world, hidden speakeasys, and inventive drinks so clever you feel that you are enjoying a vacation in a glass. Here are a list of my top cocktail bars to try:

  1. Little Red Door – located in the trendy Marais district, this brooding romantic cocktail bar actually does have a little red door and a pop up book of cocktails sure to please every palette. Drinks are inventive and even include such ingredients as porcini mushroom, birch water and black radish. A must try!
  2. Moonshiner – This unassuming speakeasy is located behind a pizza place, through the freezer, and you only know if you know. Once you enter this amazing establishment you are transported back to the 1920’s with copper walls, old timey bartenders and a deliciously classic cocktail menu. Go for the experience, stay for the cocktails.
  3. Miss Ko – Not exactly a straight cocktail bar, this sushi joint actually doubles as a night club, trendy cocktail bar and place to see and be seen. Go early and plan to wait at least an hour, but its worth it!
