I am a Travel Advisor, with my Certified Travel Counsellor Designation from the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA). I specialize in arranging customized, personalized travel worldwide. I work with the established travel agency of North South Travel, located in Vancouver, BC Canada.
I love to travel. It is my inspiration; my passion; my reason for being. From a young age I found myself having a wandering spirit and an unrequited passion for exploration. I just never wanted to be at home! It wasn’t until later in life that I realized there was only one way to satisfy the wanderlust inside of me…and that was to travel!
My first major trip abroad was in 2001, travelling to Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia with my college colleagues. We had the opportunity to do homestays and truly absorb the land and culture surrounding us. I remember experiencing my first taste of culture shock; language barriers, interesting food preparation, critters (it was the first time I had ever shared my personal space with cockroaches!) and accommodation that was nothing like back home. And I was truly fascinated.
I knew that this feeling…the wonder, newness, excitement and vague sense of uncertainty what was made me feel truly alive. I knew then that my life would always be one of travel and discovery.
Since then I have had the opportunity to explore the hidden gems of Paris, castles of Italy, flamenco in Spain, canals of the Netherlands, street art of Berlin, ancient ruins in Malta and the stunning coastlines of Ireland, just to name a few. It is my hope that everyone is able to experience travel in a meaningful way, because it truly does change your life. That is why I decided to become a travel agent. I love making it easier for people to get to their dream destination, and experience all of its fullness. There is a whole world out there for you to discover.
