Paris – Vivre les Hotels de Luxe!

Paris…the city of lights, the city of love…and I dare say the city of stunning hotels! On my recent trip to Paris I had the absolute pleasure of being hosted at a number of amazing properties around the city.

Upon arrival from London, I took the subway to the heart of Paris’ 8th arrondissement where I arrived at the brand new and stunning Hotel Fauchon. Completely fashion forward, this luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of Paris took me in from the second I stepped into the foyer. I was warmly greeted and taken to the beautiful lounge, where the signature colours of fuchsia, white and black delighted me everywhere I looked. I was treated to complimentary macrons (following the hotel colour scheme) as well as a signature Fauchon cocktail. Complete class the whole way. The room did not disappoint either! Signature colour accented furniture, large bathroom, welcome Champagne and a completed complimentary amenities wardrobe impressed me beyond measure. Amenities ranged from madelines, artisan crackers, pate and more Champagne. Not to mention a Dyson hairdryer! Heavenly. Pretty much decided I needed to moved in right then and there. And the best part?? Complimentary breakfast at the Fauchon cafe! Lovely pastries, great selection of eggs and more Champagne. I would definitely recommend this property for those looking for some luxury, spacious rooms and feeling a little elite in the city.

The next gem on my journey was Relais Christine. This understated property reminded me of a hideaway on the Left Bank of Paris, unassuming from the outside and yet stunning on the inside. It just felt like I was staying in authentic Paris….the romantic Paris you dream about when you think about coming to this city. Exposed wood beams in the rooms, a quite and lovely cocktail/breakfast nook and an authentic 13th century Spa Guerlain. Comfortable beds, great shower, separate toilet and a lot of plugs for my electronics! Loved the modern amenities. Also, was in the heart of the Left Bank, close to the islands and walking distance to many little shops and restaurants. Highly recommend the hotel for those looking to relax, enjoy some quiet luxury and fully explore the left bank.

As much as I loved the Hotel Fauchon and the Relais Christine, my heart was truly left with the Hotel Barriere le Fouquets. Right on the Champs-Elysees, this luxury hotel is just a few blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. Actually you can see it from your balcony if your room is facing the Champs-Elysees. Completely central, right near 2 subway stations, lots of shopping, restaurants and other high end hotel bars, this luxurious property made me feel like I was right in the heart of the action. Upon entering my room I was greeted with a full high-tea style amenity, featuring delicious miniature pastries, macarons and a bottle of Champagne. Paris really knows how to do Champagne right! The whole room is digitally controlled with an iPad, and has the most luxurious beddings and decorative colouring. Large washroom including a large soaker tub. They have a great restaurant and terrace cocktail bar, and the breakfast buffet is truly amazing. They even had my absolute favourite cheese, burrata, as one of their breakfast offerings! I definitely recommend this property for those wanting to feel pampered, are looking to add some luxury to their Paris experience, as well as those that want to truly feel in the centre of Paris, and be very close to all of the iconic sites.

I have great relationships with these hotels and will be happy to extend you exclusive amenities if you book though me. Contact me today to get start planning your next Paris experience!
