I recently had the pleasure of visiting the lovely Four Seasons Resort and Residences in which is nestled in lovely Whistler, BC, Canada. The beautiful village of Whistler, situated in the picturesque mountains of British Columbia, has become a world class ski resort with an international reputation for amazing terrain for both winter and summer sports. It is a year round destination. Winter boasts one of the best experiences in the world for skiing and snowboarding. Whister also had the privilege of hosting the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, and has a great Sliding Park, where you can experience Bobsled and Skeleton for yourself! In the summer, you can hike, mountain bike and take in the Peak 2 Peak Gondola ride – https://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/discover/360-experience. This Guinness World record breaking gondola simply cannot be missed; ride between two mountain peaks with nothing but scenery surrounding you!
In the winter, ski or board to your hearts’ content. Whister offer two mountains to enjoy, along with a host of accommodation that comes with a ski/snowboard concierge or the ability to ski/in/ski-out right onto the mountain. The village itself is very lively in the winter (year round actually). Cars are not allowed in the village and it is a pedestrian haven for those looking for a little apres ski/board drink, dinner or some lively nightlife to help warm them up.
And…one of the best places to stay in Whistler would definitely be the Four Seasons Resort. They have their main resort, which boasts large than average suites/rooms, ski/board concierge in the winter, full service spa and gym area. Their pool area is full service as well, so when its time to soak in the hot tub after long day of winter sports, someone will happily bring you a beverage. Another option if you are travelling with family or a larger group, is to stay at the Residences at the Four Seasons. Full service kitchens, 2-3 bedroom apartments, open concept, large living areas.
